It’s day 1 of the Mindful 21 challenge, a 21 day journey to become more mindful within your life – mindful of your actions, your environment, your body.
For the next 7 days, I challenge you to start or end your day with 5 minutes of meditation. Sitting with your thoughts, being still, being present is so important in a day and age where we have already thought 5 steps ahead instead of being mindful of where we are.
Sit in a quiet place, without any distraction. Let yourself just be in the moment. Before you dive into your day, allow yourself this time. Or perhaps you want to end your day with calm. Just be present in the moment. Play some music if that will help you let go. Thinking about that to do list or pile of laundry? Allow your mind to be still and tell yourself it will get done. Settle in. Be present.
